Vita Malahova (Latvia/Italy)

Vita Malahova is educated as a physical theatre performer and her theater tradition comes from group work and improvisation theatre. In 2016 she graduated at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri with the Bachelor of Physical Theater (CH). The same year she took part in StilleWasser Kollektiv with whom she performed an adaptation of “Antigone – Fragments of a Myth”. In 2016, together with French actress Aude Lorrillard, Vita founded physical theatre duo I Patom Theatre with whom she created and currently performs two theatre plays. One is physical theatre play “I ran and got tired” inspired by Daniil Kharms and another one is children performance “Colorful Tales” inspired by Imants Ziedonis. Since then, they have toured in Ukraine, Switzerland, Denmark, and Italy. In 2018 – 2109 Vita collaborated with different artists and theatre companies such as Astragali Teatro, Biloura Collective, Lab. Perm. di Domenico Castaldo, Magnus Errboe, Fabio Tolledi, CuntsCollective and others. Currently Vita takes part in site-specific theatre project LIVETS VAND directed by director Magnus Errboe (17 performances in different cities in Denmark). In 2018 Vita gave workshops in mask acting during the “Move for Life” festival (DK), improvisation workshop during Art exchange residency “Clastic” (IT), a singing master class in residency center “SERDE” (LV) and is also giving theatre class in primary school “Rosmini” (IT).
