Toms Harjo (1996) is involved in photography since 2014. He studied at the International Summer school of Photography. He works as an editorial assistant and videographer at FK Magazine where he is making video series about individual photographers of Latvia.
During Rucka Artist Residency „Small strategies” programme Toms Harjo created a photo series Invisible Guards. In the series, Toms anonymously portrayed inhabitants of Cesis who are directly or indirectly involved in the functioning of society and putting strategies into place. The series addresses people who don’t usually receive attention, yet whose existence is crucial to the everyday functioning of society.
