Invisible Lives is a collaboration project implemented by Rucka Art Foundation (Latvia), Kulturanova (Serbia) and Art365 (Montenegro) within the framework of Creative Europe: Culture programme of the European Union. The project brings to light the stories behind the invisible lives of marginalized groups of society through transnational mobility of artists coming from Latvia, Montenegro and Serbia and working with analogue photography, filmmaking and devised theatre.
The project will be built around stories of people who are often “invisible” as they are unable or afraid to be full members of the society. In each of the countries an international group of artists (5 from each country) will work with one of the marginalized groups of society. In Cesis, Latvia, photographers will work together with blind people in creating photographs and soundscapes. In Novi Sad, Serbia performance artists will be using the method of devised theatre to tell stories of LGBT community. In Montenegro filmmakers will work together with people with disabilities developing short stories.
