The project “Invisible Lives” will bring to light the stories behind the invisible lives of marginalized groups of society through transnational mobility of artists coming from Latvia, Montenegro and Serbia and working with analogue photography, filmmaking and devised theatre.
The project will be built around stories of people who are often “invisible” as they are unable or afraid to be full members of the society. In each of the countries an international group of artists will work with one of the marginalized groups of society. In Cesis, Latvia, photographers will work together with blind people in creating photographs and soundscapes on topics important for this group. In Novi Sad, Serbia performance artists will be using the method of devised theatre to tell stories of LGBT people. In Montenegro film makers will work together with people with disabilities by making short stories telling their stories.
The project “Invisible lives” is financed by the EU-funded programme Creative Europe.
